We are sponsored by the Navy League of the United States and supported by both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.

Two Programs:
The Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC), is our junior program for youth ages 10 through 8th Grade.
League Cadets:
  • Introduced to basic seamanship and leadership skills.
  • Participate in our "drills" (meets) and attend a one-week orientation course away from home (sleep-away camp).

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC), is our full rigor program for youth ages 9th grade through 18.
Sea Cadets:
  • Learn, lead, and excel through our coursework, leadership development, and fitness standards.
  • Within their first year, are required to attend an age-appropriate, nine-day Recruit Training "bootcamp" with hundreds of other youth in Sea Cadets from across New England. This is an away from home (sleep-away camp) training at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.
  • Once per year, (after graduating from Recruit Training), attend a training of their choosing in over 105 different training options. These trainings are fully hands-on, immersive, and held across the country. Trainings are structured in sections of lecture, demonstration, supervised drill, and practical performance testing.

The Goals of Our Youth Program
There are four goals that each Cadet realizes after their time with us:
  1. Develop abilities in leadership and teamwork
  2. Instill virtues of good citizenship and strong moral principles
  3. Demonstrate the value of living a life of merit
  4. Expose Cadets to a variety of career paths through life skills and hands-on training
